The inspiration for this item goes back to the desire to look for items that fit into the home. This has always been the over arching theme of my work and its little items like this encapsulate this. Inspired by similar designs in wood I wanted to translate this into my medium and create a piece that is both functional and discreetly beautiful.
These pieces are hand built and made from blended local clay. Coated with a white gloss glaze, the higher iron content of the clay created a speckled effect and adds an orange tinge to the pieces.

All products are 100% handmade by Myself in my studio in Titirangi, Auckland, New Zealand.
All my work is dishwasher and food safe however I would always recommend hand washing as the best option to avoid damage.
